Sweetwater Band & Orchestra has brought in this series of intermediate violas to address the climate restraints of string instrumental music in the Midwest. The Scherl & Roth SR62 is a quality intermediate level viola at a great price point.

Scherl & Roth step-up violas are hand-crafted with solid spruce tops, flamed maple back and sides, and hand-applied spirit varnish. Each instrument is adjusted in our shop with Helicore strings, ebony fingerboard and pegs, select French maple bridge, and a composite tailpiece.

Student Violas

Most beginners start in orchestra on a student level instrument, and because kids have a tendency to change their minds, we recommend our rent-to-own program. Our flexible rental plan allows you to get an educator-recommended instrument in your child’s hands without breaking the bank. You can return or exchange your rental instrument at any time, and 100% of your monthly rental payment applies toward the purchase of a full-size instrument.
