The Mynett Music StoryMynett Music has been a mainstay of the Northeast Indiana music community since 1933, providing a full school music service department, lesson program, repair shop, and a large selection of new and used woodwind, brass, string, and percussion instruments and accessories. Founded to support school music programs in the Greater Fort Wayne area and beyond, Milt Mynett put a strong emphasis on the repair side of music. That legendary reputation continued as his son, Chuck Mynett, virtually “grew up” in the business. Chuck expanded services to deepen the partnership with schools in recruiting band students, providing top-notch musical instruments and accessories for those students, and maintaining their instruments so that the teachers’ sole focus could be the musical growth of their students. In 2015, Mynett Music was purchased by Sweetwater owner Chuck Surack. Chuck has been a customer of Mynett Music for over 45 years, since he was a middle schooler developing a passion for the saxophone. As he progressed from school bands to playing professionally, Chuck has always trusted the service of his instruments to Mynett’s dedicated and experienced staff. Both Mynett Music and Sweetwater share a passion for music and the relentless pursuit of providing an uncompromising customer experience. Both companies, as with all of the Sweet Family of Companies, center their customer service approach around the simple principle of always doing the right thing. Sweetwater is the nation's #1 online music equipment retailer, selling guitars, keyboards, drums, and pianos, along with pro audio technology and accessories.
